How to Transfer Your Domain Name from RAMShard to NameCheap

The steps below explain how to transfer to NameCheap, however the process is similar for any registrar.

Step 1: Unlock Your Domain

Log in to your RAMShard account.
Navigate to the Domains section.
Find the domain you want to transfer and unlock it (this may be labeled as "Registrar Lock" or "Domain Lock").
Disable the lock, which will allow the domain to be transferred.

Step 2: Get the EPP/Auth Code

After unlocking the domain, look for the EPP code or Auth code in your domain management section.
Copy this code, as you will need it for the transfer process.

Step 3: Initiate the Transfer at NameCheap

Log in to your NameCheap account (or create one if you don’t have an account).
Go to the Transfer section on NameCheap’s website.
Enter your domain name and start the transfer process.
Enter the EPP/Auth code when prompted.

Step 4: Approve the Transfer

Check your email associated with your domain registration.
You will receive an email asking you to approve the transfer. Follow the instructions in the email to approve the transfer.

Step 5: Wait for the Transfer to Complete

The transfer can take a few days to complete, usually around 5-7 days.
Once the transfer is complete, your domain will be managed by NameCheap.

Step 6: Update Your DNS Settings (if needed)

After the transfer, log in to your NameCheap account.
Update your DNS settings if necessary to ensure your website continues to function properly.

That’s it! Your domain should now be successfully transferred to NameCheap.
