Plugin download failed

Bukkit Plugins

The CurseForge sites have recently made changes within their CloudFlare rules with the way files are downloaded. More so due to anti-bot protection. Which in turn blocks most ways to download plugins through the API or a direct download link. This means for the time being, you will need to install Bukkit plugins manually.

When you first try to download, you will notice a pop up. Which will tell you that the install timed out and to check the console.

Upon checking the console, you will notice two different messages there. There will be a start plugin download message, followed by the failed download error.

The error you will see should look like a variant of this:
Download failed: Error downloading plugin pluginname.jar: 403 Client Error: Forbidden for url: https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/pluginname/files/000000/download

Though if it looks any different or has a different error code, please do send us a message on the live chat.

Spigot Plugins

When installing a Spigot plugin, you may notice that you get the time out pop up on your browser.

Though when you check the console, you may notice there is not an error. That means that the plugin installed correctly. More so the panel had not gotten the correct response, therefore making is assume a timeout.

Of course, you will want to check your files to be sure that the plugin installed.

If the plugin does fail to install, then you would need to install it manually.
