[BDS] How do I enable cheats?

Getting Started

Enabling cheats on a Bedrock server is very useful if you want to make yourself an OP user on your server.

How To

To enable cheats, there are two ways to do this. You can either use our config option or edit the server.properties file directly.

Ensure the server is stopped first before using either of these methods to enable cheats.

Using The Config Files

You will want to click on the Files drop down, then click on Config Files. Then you will want to click on the Server Settings option.

Once in the server settings, you will want to find the option that says allow-cheats. By default, it will say false in the box.

Change this to true and save the changes.

Now restart your server and that's it - cheats are now enabled!
In order to gain full permissions for cheat commands, you will need to OP yourself if you have not done so already. How do I op someone?

Editing The server.properties File Directly

Navigate to the Files>FTP File Access tab of the control panel. Once there, enter your control panel password in the Multicraft Password box and click Login.

Once logged in, locate the server.properties file in the file list and click Edit to the right of it.
