All mods from the Steam workshop are supported by RAMShard's ARK server hosting. If you wish to add mods to your ARK server - this is the guide for you! ARK mods can add new creatures & enemies, custom structures, custom features and more.

Before adding mods, we recommend that you backup your server.

Finding Steam Workshop Mods
Find the Mod IDs of each mod you wish to install on the Steam Workshop.

Browse the steam workshop and find a mod you would like to use. You can find the Steam Workshop for ARK at: https://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/workshop/
Once you have found the mod you wish to install, you can find the Mod ID in the URL of the web page for the mod.
Copy the numbers as the end of the URL - this is the Mod ID that you will need to paste into your server config.

Example URL: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1785800853

In the example above, the Mod ID would be 1785800853

Adding Steam Workshop Mods to your ARK Server
ARK mods can be added to your server by adding the Steam Workshop Mod IDs to your GameUserSettings.ini file.

On the server control panel, navigate to Files > Config Files.
Open the GameUserSettings.ini file.
In the Active Mods field, enter the Mod IDs of each mod you wish to use, separated by commas.

For example, if we are installing the mod from the previous section, as well as a mod with the ID 123456, we would enter the following: 1785800853,123456

Scroll down and press Save. Now, once you restart your server, the mods you specified in the Active Mods field will be automatically downloaded and installed.
