How to Create a Server Backup

Creating a backup of your server is very useful to prevent losing progress should any issues arise on your server. This is also handy to use when changing or updating the version of your server.

Access your server control panel: RAMShard Server Control Panel.

Stop your server. Although this step is optional, it is highly recommended to prevent issues with the backup.



From the side menu of your control panel, navigate to Files > Backup.



On the Backup page, click the Start button.



You will receive a confirmation message once a backup has been successfully created.

Be sure to wait for the the Backup done message to appear before starting your server.

Reminders

For some servers with more or larger files, a backup in progress message will appear. Wait for this to complete before making any changes or starting your server.
This is a full server backup so depending on the size of your server, it could take a while to backup.
You can only have three (3) backups at a time and the size limit per backup is 15 GB.
