How can I edit signs on Java Edition?

Getting Started

To edit signs, you need to download a plugin. This plugin is called EditableSigns

Need help installing plugins? How do I install plugins on my server?

After Installation

After you install the plugin, be sure to reboot your server.

Essentially, this plugin is plug and play. To use it, you just need to SNEAK and RIGHT CLICK on a sign to edit it.
Just be sure you either have all permissions, or give the permission for this.

The permission is: editablesign.edit

Though this plugin also works with WorldGuard. So if you are in a WorldGuard region, you need to be sure that the flags USE and or INTERACT are set to allow.

If you want to toggle editing mode, you can use the command: /es to toggle it on or off.

Using Permissions

You can do much more with the permissions. Along with even restricting it by region with WorldGuard.

editablesign.edit : allows a player to edit a sign
editablesign.colorsign : allows a player to use colored sign.
editablesign.admin: bypasses the cooldown restriction
editablesign.<region_name> : allows a player to edit a sign in the <region_name> world guard region.

Support Plugins

This also supports many widely used plugins. So you can easily integrate it into your existing server.
