Changing your view distance can be useful if you are having lag spikes when loading in chunks or you just want it to be a high/lower number.

Changing The Distance

Doing this is very simple! You will just need to click on the Files drop-down tab. Then select the Config Files option.
On the Config Files, select the Server Settings option.





Once in the Server Settings, look for where it says View Distance. In there, you can either make it higher or lower.
After you put the number you want, either hit enter or scroll down to the save button at the bottom.



You will now want to restart your server for this to take effect.
