How to Restore a Server Backup

This guide is applicable only if you used the Backup feature on the control panel: How to Create a Server Backup

Access your server control panel: RAMShard Server Control Panel.

Stop your server.

From the side menu of your control panel, navigate to Files > Backup.

On the Backup page, click the Restore button from the menu on the left.

On the Restore page your previously made backups will be listed. Click the Restore option on the right-side of the backup you want to restore.

You will receive a popup message to confirm the action. Read and ensure that you have followed the instruction on the popup, then click the OK button.

Your server will instantly begin rolling back to the backup that you are restoring. For servers with larger files, this process may take a while to complete.

Do not start your server unless you have confirmed that the backup restore is complete.

Navigate to your server console and look for the Unpack done. message. This indicates that the server restore is complete.

That's it, you can start your server and resume playing to a previous state of your server.

Reminders

A server restore may take a while to restore depending on the size of the previously created backup.
Starting a server without confirming that the restore is complete may cause your server files to get corrupted.
